I went about my doings hoping to bump into a story, something to take my mind off the heaviness. It had been a terrible week, and I needed to connect with goodness, with lightheartedness, and joy.
Moving through our moments is such a beautiful description of living our lives. It’s easy to be so consumed by these moments that we miss the sacred encounters to which you opened yourself. Thank you for sharing this.
Darrell, thank you. I missed replying earlier but wanted to reflect on your remark about the ease with which we allow ourselves to be absorbed by human tensions when all around us are reminders of another way of being. For me, it is a perpetual work in progress. I appreciate your thoughts.
It speaks volumes that you are the kind of sensitive soul that takes note of those things that don’t even bubble up to become a recognizable event to so many others.
I appreciate that observation, Janet. It may mean I'm less attuned to certain human-centered activities, but it has been my nature for as long as I can remember. Thanks so much for the comment!
I found this perfect for a rainy day today. I think dometimes we are dulled by life and our worries. Then we have to open our eyes again. See the wonder around us. The simple beauty. Your posting is such a reminder. Thank you. Blessings.
Dulled by life - yes, that's exactly it! And sometimes paralyzed by it. I'm grateful for the chance nature offers me to reset. Thanks for reading and commenting.
When I face struggles in life , I too, turn to Nature. It is my solace, my church, and a vital sanctuary that keeps me sane(er), and able to return to the human world to survive another day.
It helps to know that there are many of us 'out here' reaching for similar comforts. And, probably more importantly, FINDING them through all the non-human life that surrounds us. Thanks, Melody.
