I intend to try this more myself, if the ants allow. ;)

Oh...you've got fire ants, don't you? :wince: Maybe leather-soled shoes? https://www.softstarshoes.com/adult-roo-moccasin-smooth.html

Good idea...I'll keep my eyes peeled for antless soil, as well. :)

Wow... Thank you my official earth podiatrist.

. I believe every word.... Grounding... That word sure has a lot of places in our lives doesn't it ? Well the weather is getting warm and I'm preparing my garden so look out fresh grass and soft dirt... I just might be getting grounded.

Thank you my friend for keeping this at the top of the queue.....and kudos to you for re-engaging. Every time that we do a bit of a 'walk/hike' i fight the urge to take off my boots and hang for a bit...or carry on with boots in hand. Maybe i'll stop fighting the urge.

A common attribute of people who regularly go barefoot is their joy of life (joie de vivre?) I used to ‘walk naked’ but haven’t for way too long so thank you so much for the reminder! I can’t think of anyone who complains of it having tried it. A lovely post. Thanks so much.

Grateful to you for reading and commenting, Beth (and welcome!). For the record, I'm stealing the term "walk naked!" 😅 While I'm trying to stop giving myself more things that I ought to do, I'd like to protect more pockets of time in my day for bare feet on warm earth again. Now that our mosquitoes aren't quite so abundant, I might be able to get back out there without needing a transfusion after!
