Oh my. The old lady crying and your comment to the tech who doesn’t respond. Sad.

So sad. It's very possible they knew something I didn't. But, from the outside looking in, it felt heart-rending.

All the world's a stage...I think the playwright would have been pleased with you, especially the part about letting go, how you managed/observed difficult situations, and saw humor in a cross-the-parking-lot cackle. I'd want to know what made them laugh too, and laughter can be contagious, that is for sure, and good for the soul. Hope your soul is good today~thanks for your observations....

What wonderful insight, Elizabeth. This is truly what is always going on and how I fit in and respond can make or break someone's day... Or at least moment. Thank you for once again addressing a way for me to be a more thoughtful and authentic person in everyday ways.

Beautiful reflections around the questions: How do we deal with each other with compassion? How do we truly see what is in front of us? You help answer with grace, humor and authenticity. Brings to mind David Foster Wallace's essay "This Is Water."
