Folks, I goofed. Because Substack allows us writers to put certain content behind our paywalls, they give us an à la carte selection of radio buttons each time we post. In fewer words, the choices go something like this:
Is this post for everyone or just for those who’ve paid to subscribe?
What about comments? Do you want to limit comments only to those who’ve ponied up some extra cash?
In my case, both of those features are meant to be accessible to everyone. No questions asked.
But, I forgot to tick the right button this morning and inadvertently walled off comments to the vast majority of you. What a rip, since I also made a specific call for comments at the end of today’s essay.
I promise, it wasn’t meant as a sales ploy. And, I think I’ve fixed it now. I hope.
